Join us on an excursion to view the capital, MAHON, with its claim to fame, the second deepest natural harbour in the world, second to Pearl Harbour. A witness to many sea battles, with its fortifications of La Mola and San Felipe, which you can view on a Glass Bottom boat excursion, if you wish. Visit the Gin Distillery or shop on the market. Next, a favourite of ours is MODAS at RED INDIAN ROCK, where we are treated to a fashion show of all their latest leather goods and accessories. Now on to MONTE TORRO, the highest point of the island at 1030 feet. Cameras are a must!! From there to CUITADELLA, the old capital with its cobbled streets, where you can see the Palaces and Cathedral. Lots of restaurants, café’s and bars, an ideal place to have lunch. Then on to CALA GALDANA with its beautiful beaches and bays or to CASTILLO MENORCA which is the home of Lladro collections. Here also is a large play area for the children. Then off to FORNELLS, a sleepy little fishing village during the winter months and home to the water sports in summer.
This excursion opens the eyes to the cultural side of the island.
